MY STORY
Salma Zahore - سلمى زهور is a queerture, a performer and artivist against injustice.
In 2022, Salma burst onto the performance scene, captivating audiences at venues like Razzmatazz Club in Barcelona, La Bellevilloise in Paris, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
Her performances challenge inherited ideas of gender, faith, and power, while unapologetically affirming her Lebanese, Arab, and queer identity. These layers are not themes she visits, they are the ground she stands on, and they deeply shape everything she creates.
She launched SALMATI, a show presented in Paris and Barcelona, imagined as a space where artists from different backgrounds and disciplines meet. The project creates room for dialogue, friction, and connection between queer Arab communities and other communities, without simplification or translation.
Moving between stage and screen, Salma carries her alter ego as a filmmaker into her performances, weaving visual storytelling into the live experience. The result is an emotional ride that slips between laughter, vulnerability, and moments of quiet, unsettling introspection.
